I advise going with whatever works for you. I generally find that large mega shops perform better than stand alone, single design shops. But that is just me.

It all depends on how you are marketing yourself. Really good ad campaigns can make a basic shop rock. But really big shops generally get better search engine possition with less ad work.

Hey Jeff,

Individual branding was the whole problem in the early days of CafePress.

I had to get my own site and use outside solutions like CPShop.

I have a Geeklog Portal now and a PHP script for incorporating CafePress stores to my site.

I've notice more sales from the Market Place than my shops lately. Would you advise to going with premium shops?

All of my shops (numbering close to 500) are individual shops at this time.

“I am wondering if you might have a source for sales statistics.”

Well, that is a pretty broad topic. You will need to be a little more specific as sales statistics cover everything from conversion rates to average profit per sale. And even most of that depends on other variables.

“I am trying to write a business plan and need data regarding online t-shirt sales.”

Well you’re at least a step ahead of 99% of all other business people and probably 99.9% of other cafepress shopkeepers! Kudos!

I just came upon your site while doing research for my new inspirational t-shirt business. I am currently using cafepress. I've found a lot of very interesting info on your site but I am wondering if you might have a source for sales statistics. I am trying to write a business plan and need data regarding online t-shirt sales. Thanks in advance for any assistance you can provide.
