If you can’t grab your prospective customer’s attention within a couple of seconds after they land on your page, you might as well not have a web site. Think about it… When you first hit a web site, don’t you make the decision whether to stay or hit the back button within seconds?

Your web site content determines whether your prospective customers stay on your web site or click away immediately. They have to see right away that your site will provide the information, product, or service they are looking for or they’ll be gone. (more…)

If you are selling T-shirts Online and have a storefront of any considerable size at some point you have probably wondered what to do with designs that are not as current as they once where or that have been updated or just not selling well. Ultimately it depends on the situation that you are in.

Are you making the t-shirts yourself and carrying a stock? Or are you using a site like Cafepress or Printfection for one off, on demand production? Because depending on your business model and strategy it makes a huge difference. (more…)

Screen Resolution is defined as the number of individual pixels that fit within a given space. Screen Resolution is measured in pixels. It is always expressed as width x height. If we discuss about an 800×600 resolution, then 800 refers to the number of pixels that the monitor can display horizontally and the number 600 refers to the to the number of pixels that the monitor can display vertically . When was the last time you tried out all the parts of your website? Have gone clicking around your site to see what your customers are seeing? If you have answered “yes” then good for you… but even if you have, have you looked on your own computer?

A friend of mine is a web designer and if you go into her home office your jaw would drop… you’d think you just stepped into a spaceship. She has several screen and several computers running at once. I asked her what all the computers were for. As a high end website designer, she wants to make sure that her customer’s websites look good for everyone viewing the site, whether they are viewing it on a small screen or a large screen. She’ll create a website then view it from different monitors to see how it looks… then she’ll make adjustments accordingly. (more…)
