This literally came out of nowhere. Cafepress has announced that starting July 21st (today) they will be offering a buy 3, get 1 free promotion on certain styles of t-shirts. This announcement was dropped on shopkeepers by AngCP August 19th and the date was corrected to the 21st for the start on the 20th.

While I certainly do welcome this promotion, I do wish that Cafepress would have give us a little bit more time especially since shopkeepers like myself who actually promote our stores have dozens of banners that needed to be updated to reflect this. Needless to say I have been spending the entire morning doing just this rather than other things.

Some of you are aware that this year I decided to sponsor a race car at one of the local tracks here near Pittsburgh. For a few bucks I got my logo for AmericanInfidelTshirts.com on the front on the open wheel modified #9 car of Rick Huffman at Motordrome.Sponsoring this car was done for long term advertising purposes. It isn’t being done for a quick bang for my buck and I’ve already committed to doing it again next year. So far it has not netted a total return on investment but based on tracking of where my orders are coming, the first step of putting the logo on the car is having some effect on sales. I have also gotten several emails from people that have loved the site even though they haven’t bought anything. That’s a good thing as well. Word of mouth is a great advertising tool. (more…)

Develop all collateral and image materials (web, stationery, logo, tagline, mission statement, cards, postcards, brochures, elevator pitch, newsletters, letters, project sheets, resumes, bios, firm description, etc.) to coincide with the brand and your message.

2. Develop a mission statement that shows your reason for being and the value you provide to your customers.

3. Develop a memorable tagline that expresses who you are and what you do.

4. Make a matrix of all those youd like to reach in the next year and the potential influencers on (more…)

I expect you already know at least a few of the benefits of submitting your articles to directories. However you probably didn’t realize how many powerful reasons there actually are:

* Prospects Are Attracted That You Would not Have Found.

With each submitted article, you are casting your net wider, reaching new prospects that would never have found your business otherwise.

* Develops Trust.

Your articles pre-sell you to your potential customers. When they go to your site, they are more likely to check out your products.

* Brings Free Website Visitors For Years.

Both because of the articles being in the directory itself, and also on the sites of those who use them.

* Boosts The Credibility of Both You and Your (more…)

Article submission software – people always ask if they are really useful in article marketing. To paraphrase that, what online marketers really want to know is whether there truly are merits in using them to submit articles. The truth is there are two schools of thinking about using article submission software. As usual, there are those who do not believe it works while another group can vouch to its effectiveness. Why don’t we have a quick look at the workings of the article submission software before we decide if we should submit articles with them?

Article submission software in recent years have been emerging as a tool to replace manual submission. When I first started online marketing, I wrote articles and submit manually to these article directories like GoArticles, HotLib and a few other popular article directories. It often takes me more than a few hours to submit to more than a dozen article directories. There was the log in, followed by sieving through the article submission form, copying and pasting my article title, article (more…)
